When opening a new affiliate of THE FORCE in 2024, the obvious choice was Riga, Latvia. It is not only located in the middle of the Baltic region, but also functions as a gate to the Nordic region.
Nowadays, the Baltic region is a rapidly developing part of Europe. Lativa in particular also draws us in with it's past, though: Historically, the country has been known as highly developed in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Several new pharmaceutical molecules were dicsovered and developed here. And the first official pharmacy in the Baltic region, dating as far back as the 14th century, was located in Riga, which is the oldest center of the pharmaceutical industry within the Eastern/Northern European region.
